World Labyrinth Day is an annual event sponsored by The Labyrinth Society as a worldwide action to “walk as one at 1” local time to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy across the globe. Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the world participate in this moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience.

Spirit in the Desert has a beautiful labyrinth patterned after the famous Labyrinth in the Chartres Cathedral near Paris, a symbol of the Christian pilgrimage. Walking a labyrinth can be a meaningful spiritual practice.
Spiritual director and friend of Spirit in the Desert, Sue Palmer, will offer a 15-minute guided meditation at 10:00 am. Shelter, water and light snacks will be available.
Free food! Snacks and beverages will be provided by Spirit in the Desert, Roastery of Cave Creek and Foothills Food Bank.
Open to the public, come on by!
Many ways to participate:
- Walk Spirit’s labyrinth at 1:00 p.m. local time to help create a rolling wave of peace passing from one time zone to the next around the globe.
- Walk alone or with others observing all applicable health protocols.
- Build a permanent or temporary labyrinth.
- Use a finger labyrinth – finger labyrinths are available at Spirit’s registration desk in the Estrem Center.
