Regina Biddings-Muro

Dr. Regina D. Biddings-Muro is Vice President for University Advancement at California Lutheran University (Cal Lutheran). In this role, she leads a dedicated team of professionals who are expanding a culture of philanthropy among the University’s alumni, donors, staff, faculty, students, and friends. Prior to her appointment at Cal Lutheran in 2018, Dr. Biddings-Muro was Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement at Purdue University Northwest in Indiana. Before her promotion to Vice Chancellor, she served as Chief of Staff for eight years. In addition to fundraising, Dr. Biddings-Muro’s higher education experience includes leadership in alumni affairs, community relations, legislative affairs, communication, marketing, and strategic university events. Regina also worked as a communication strategist, sales executive, and community relations director in the steel, natural gas, and electric utility industries.

Biddings-Muro’s first career, while an undergraduate at Purdue, was in broadcast journalism as a news anchor, reporter, and talk show host. Regina has volunteered on several boards and committees focused on health and wellness, economic development, and human services, in addition to foundation, non-profit, and corporate boards. Regina earned her doctoral degree in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University in Illinois. She also holds a master’s degree in communication and a bachelor’s degree in journalism/mass communication, both from Purdue University.

Together with colleagues Christopher Njunge, Lisa Higginbotham and Hari Date, Regina Biddings-Muro facilitates the Executive Skills for Church Leaders retreat in January, 2023 at Spirit in the Desert.
