Howie Wennes Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, August 14 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Thousand Oaks at 1:00 p.m. The service will also be livestreamed during that time on Ascension’s website at https://alcto.org/. The service also will be available for viewing at a later date.

Mary Wennes is a retired schoolteacher and has taught in Japan, Minnesota, Arizona and California. She describes herself as a “global citizen and an activist for poverty, hunger and immigration.” Mary is a board member of Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center and also uniquely familiar with how the center came to be.
