On March 5 & March 12, those at the Desert Sojourn Retreat had an up-close-and-personal engagement with the Sonoran Desert’s raptors! Bob Fox, founder of the Wild at Heart Raptor Rescue, a fellow non-profit, brought in a variety of birds: owls of all sizes, turkey vulture, red tail hawk, peregrine falcon, etc. It was a time of learning and amazement all wrapped into 90 minutes! Spirit loves to bring in these programs from our local non-profits as it serves to understand about conservationism and protecting the beautiful desert we live in. Thanks to Bob & Samantha Fox for how they tirelessly rescue raptors, get involved in keep some specials from extinction, and teach in schools and community events to bring awareness of God’s wonderful feathered creatures!
