Healing of Memories Workshop for Veterans & First Responders
The Healing of Memories workshop is a safe place for participants to explore personal histories and gain insight and empathy for themselves and others.
Spirit in the Desert and the Institute for Healing of Memories began workshops for women veterans only in 2017. Why? To answer a “call” from so many women in the military who have been subjected to Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The statistics on this kind of trauma are astounding and heart-wrenching; the fact is that it happens not just in combat overseas and far from home, it is also right here on our military bases, and it affects women of all ages, all ethnicities, and all ranks. Click here for some of the latest information released on MST and other abuses women experience in our military.
